This is how Furlan is born

30 years ago, motivated by a friend and a taste for vintage cars, Mr. Geraldo Furlan and his son Rogério Furlan acquired the first fiber kit for a 550.

​

Mr. Geraldo, 60 years old and with vast mechanical knowledge, put on the shirt and didn't give up until the last screw had been placed.

​

GRF Projetos Especiais was then born, a company that would later become Furlan Automobile.

 

Between mistakes and successes, the first of a series of re-readings was assembled and it traveled between Caieiras (Greater São Paulo) and Brasília (DF), thus strengthening the conviction that it was possible for the dream to work.

 

The first client wanted more, he intended to race on the interlagos tracks – in fact, a client who became a friend, helped and showed that GRF was on the right path.

 

And then all the others came, each one with its peculiarity, each one with a different requirement, which was the main reason why they sought out GRF. That's why the company acquired the know-how to satisfy the most unexpected requests. He faced doubts and a variety of crises, including the unpreparedness of clients when exposing their expectations.

Between mistakes and successes, they continued one day after another and the brand was consolidated.

The will to remain firm and fulfill the dream of building cars by hand was greater than the great loss suffered by the GRF family in 2010. This year, Mr. Geraldo Furlan, founder and great creator of this dream.

​

Rogério Furlan then assumed the direction of the company, and for many years he commanded with the same impetus and passion as his father.

​

Gradually the team grew and played a fundamental role, especially when we consider that manual work requires great dexterity and willingness to learn.

​

In 2020, even in the face of the terrible pandemic caused by COVID-19, an increase in orders forced a restructuring of the production process, and not only that, the space was already small for GRF. And at the end of the same year, the company moved to the neighboring city – Franco da Rocha and started to occupy a space of one thousand square meters.

​

This all culminated in a more than necessary marketing action, GRF then got a new outfit and changed its name to Furlan Automobile. The new name provides the concept of sophistication with a powerful touch without losing the company's historical characteristics. The need for this new brand meets trends, adding the corresponding value to a product already established in the market.

​

All these changes were only possible thanks to the know-how of Rogério Furlan and leveraged by Milena Patroni who, in the same year, became part of the corporate structure, adding knowledge acquired over the years in front of executive positions in renowned companies in the country.

​

The year 2021 arrived and with it came new challenges, the unstable economy due to the pandemic caused a great lag in the options of parts on the market, in addition to the lack of specialized labor.

​

Little by little, this major obstacle gave way to a renewed and adapted manufacturing process with a dynamic appropriate to the new reality.

​

Today, Furlan Automobile counts on the cooperation of a specialized team, collaborative and committed to success. Developing 8 unique handcrafted car models with simplified mechanics and cutting-edge technology. Currently marketing to Europe, Asia, South America and mainly domestic market.

​

The company has become a reference in the reinterpretation market in Brazil, especially when we take into account its pioneering spirit in carbon fiber bodies.

​

All this without giving up the simple way of making, not only by hand, but with many hands that together form a true family. And in this spirit, from GRF to Furlan, thought has always been given to the impact that this work would have on the world, not only when a true car enthusiast receives his dream at home, but also when a member of this great family produces a car and through that takes sustenance to his home. In other words, Furlan Automobile carries in its history the positive social impact as one of the foundations that underlie its existence.
